Toxic Free Homes - Difficult To Achieve?

I know it is difficult to make your home toxic free, but the longer, healthier lives we can live as a result make it all worthwhile.   Pollution  from toxic chemicals threatens life on this planet.

I bet you didn't realize that you probably put hundreds of chemicals on or in your body every day. They may be in the form of shampoos, conditioners, hand creams, face creams, shaving cream, makeup, or sunscreens.  Since your skin is the largest organ of your body and it absorbs what you put on it, it deserves special care.

The toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis in our environment include, the air we breathe, chemicals we put on our body and absorb through our skin, as well as chemicals we ingest through food and drink.

Are You Wearing Toxic Waste?

Laundry detergents add brighteners, smells, and other chemicals that do not get rinsed out of the clothing, but are absorbed through the skin when the clothes are worn.

Did you ever consider that your personal and skin care products may be causing problems?

The personal care industry often uses synthetic chemicals to produce their products.  Many of these chemicals are toxic or, when combined with other chemicals, create toxic products.

Propylene Glycol is Toxic...

...and in Many Products!

Many products contain a cheap to use potential skin  irritant called propylene glycol.   We all use it in our cars as antifreeze, but the cosmetics industry routinely uses propylene glycol to allow personal care products to glide onto the skin making it feel soft and smooth.   It is poison.  Propylene glycol  penetrates the skin so fast that the EPA warns factory workers to avoid skin contact, to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities.

Propylene glycol  is present in many stick deodorants, shampoos and lotions, often in heavier concentration than in most industrial applications. Propylene Glycol is also found in baby wipes and even some processed foods!
